Rebels Take Loss Against Tigers

The “Rebel Seven” hosted the Tigers of South Hardin on January 16, 2014 in Gladbrook. Again we had only seven players dressed.

Beginning in first quarter action the Rebels were up against a large team, not only in size but numbers. Turnovers proved to be the enemy as the Tigers capitalized by taking a 9-2 lead on the home team. Second stanza action saw much of the same as the Rebels struggled to get things going and trailing 20-9 at halftime.

Starting the third quarter, the Rebels were down to six players due to a player fouling out late in the second quarter. The Rebels managed to score only 2 points and trailing 33-11 at the end of the third frame. Beginning the fourth quarter it was important that we stay positive and keep working towards the fundamentals of the game. In the end the size and numbers of the South Hardin team were too much for the Rebels as the horn sounded with a 43-17 defeat.
