Rebels run away and hide from Wolverines
GREEN MOUNTAIN — Gladbrook-Reinbeck got out to an 11-0 lead and held off the GMG baseball team for an 11-5 triumph in Tuesday’s (June 9) non-conference tilt.
The visiting Rebels (3-6) were beneficiaries of 10 total walks issued by GMG pitching, and the Wolverines committed nine errors defensively.
Ethan Klemesrud took the loss for his five innings pitched, allowing nine runs — three earned — on four hits and eight total walks while striking out nine. Drayson Stephenson struck out two and walked two in two innings, allowing no hits but two runs — one earned.
Easton Runner had two hits and an RBI to lead the GMG offense. Brayton Davis singled in a run and scored twice, while Jacoby Woodbury had an RBI single as well. Cullen Elmore and Stephenson both singled as well for the Wolverines (1-9), who suffered their eighth-straight defeat.
