GREEN MOUNTAIN — The GMG softball team broke a 1-all tie with four runs in the bottom of the fourth inning en route to a 5-1 win over Riceville during the Tuesday, June 2 Iowa Star Conference contest.

Skyler Murty went 3-for-4 with a double, an RBI and a run scored to lead the GMG offense. Tatum Jones was 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run, while Natalie Upah went 2-for-3 with a double and a run scored. Piper Jones also doubled for the Wolverines, who overcame 10 strikeouts. Riah Boege allowed just three hits and an unearned run while striking out 18 in the win for GMG (3-3).
