Dike-New Hartford Invitational results

As the cross country season winds down, the meets get closer to home. Tuesday, the Gladbrook-Reinbeck harriers traveled to Dike to compete. With teams from 22 different schools and over 800 runners in attendance for the evening, the competition was fierce. Again, the Rebels had some of their best performances of the year as they continue to finish on a strong note.

Tyler Bovy led all of the Rebel runners with a 17th place finish (17:32) in the Varsity Boys Race. Nicole Adair led the girls team in the Varsity Girls Race with a 31st place finish (17:21). Meg Edler followed in 69th place (18:38).

Grinnell dominated the meet. They won both the boys and girls team titles by a wide margin. Runner-up in the boys race was Denver. North Linn was the runner-up team on the girls side. Individual girls champion was Nicole Miller from North Linn with a time of 15:23, runner-up was Abi Watson from North Tama. The boys champion was Kyle Kehoe with a time of 16:11, runner-up was CJ May from Aplington-Parkersburg.
