Murty’s homer helps Wolverines to victory

BELLE PLAINE — GMG senior Rhianna Murty hit her first career home run and the Wolverines pounded out a 9-2 victory over Belle Plaine in the Tuesday, June 23 non-conference contest.
Murty finished 2-for-4 with a home run, two runs scored and three RBIs as GMG (7-12) tallied the win. Skyler Murty was 2-for-5 with two RBIs, Piper Jones was 2-for-4 with two RBIs, and Addison Elmore went 2-for-3 with two runs scored.
Bryleigh Bartel added a double, an RBI and scored a run for the Wolverines. Winning pitcher Riah Boege struck out 11 and walked none, scattering nine hits for the complete-game victory.
Claire Neuhaus and Chloe Svoboda had two hits apiece to lead Belle Plaine (7-8).
