GLADBROOK – The Gladbrook-Reinbeck football team scored at least two touchdowns in all four quarters of last Friday’s 69-6 Homecoming victory over Collins-Maxwell in 8-Man District 6 action, remaining undefeated heading into the final stretch of regular season play.

The Rebels (6-0, 4-0) racked up just 237 yards of total offense as the defense feasted with five takeaways and senior Treyvon Herron returned a punt 58 yards for a touchdown.

Herron rushed four times for 124 yards and three touchdowns to lead the G-R offense, while Bennett Sieh, Brayton Dripps and Macklin Clark each had a touchdown run. Sieh was 5-of-5 passing for 52 yards and three touchdowns – one each to Chad Gutknecht, Brayden Utter and Joshua Utterback.

Utter led the Rebel defense with 8.5 tackles, including three tackles for loss, while Gutknecht had both an interception and a fumble recovery against the Spartans (1-5, 1-3).

Earlier in the week on Wednesday evening, Queen Kailey Larsen and King Joshua Utterback were crowned the 2026 Gladbrook-Reinbeck Homecoming Royalty during a coronation ceremony held in the high school gymnasium as part of the annual Homecoming Happenings.

Ahead of the game Friday night, the Rebel harriers ran the Homecoming ball from Reinbeck to “The Pit” in Gladbrook, traversing more than 15 miles as part of the annual tradition.

At halftime, the 2016 Gladbrook-Reinbeck football team was honored for winning the Class A state championship that year.

Saturday evening, the Homecoming dance took place in the G-R secondary building’s lunch room/commons.
