GLADBROOK – The Gladbrook-Reinbeck football team outscored Don Bosco 25-0 over the final three quarters for a 39-14 non-district win over the Dons last Friday night here at “The Pit.”
The Rebels (5-0), rated sixth in 8-Man in the latest Radio Iowa poll, rushed for all six of their touchdowns. Treyvon Herron finished with 23 carries for 301 yards and four touchdowns, including a 73-yard dash to paydirt. Quarterback Bennett Sieh had six totes for 40 yards and two scores, while also going 8-for-14 passing for 70 yards.
Brayden Utter and Herron both had 7.5 tackles to lead a G-R defense that has allowed a state-best 5.6 points per game. Chad Gutknecht added 5.5 stops and two interceptions as the Rebels topped Don Bosco (3-2) for the third year in a row.
