GARWIN – The GMG boys basketball team began the season with a pair of home court wins – beating Meskawki 78-20 on Dec. 1, followed by Iowa Valley 61-45 on Dec. 4. Rider Kupka and Jabari Woodbury led the Wolverines offense against the Tigers with Kupka recording 21 points including five 3-pointers plus one assist, and Woodbury notching 16 points with one 3-pointer plus six assists. Woodbury also led the defense with 10 rebounds and five steals. The Wolverines were 2-0 heading into Tuesday’s road game with North Tama (2-0).
