CONRAD – The 1A No. 13 Gladbrook-Reinbeck Rebels volleyball team came away from last Saturday’s Comet Volleyball Invite with a trio of match wins as well as a career milestone for freshman setter Kailey Larsen who notched her 500th career assist.

The Rebels finished the BCLUW-hosted tournament 3-1 by defeating West Fork 2-0, HLV 2-1, and Collins-Maxwell 2-0 in pool play before falling to 1A No. 4 BCLUW, 2-0 in the semifinals.

After facing 2A No. 6 Sumner-Fredericksburg at home on Tuesday of this week, the Rebels – who entered the week 19-7 (1-3) on the season – will face the Meskwaki Settlement next week on Monday, Oct. 16 in the Class 1A Region 5 first round.
