REINBECK – GMG senior McKensie Vaske scored a career-high 35 points and junior Zoe Duncan notched a career-best 20 as the Wolverines defeated Gladbrook-Reinbeck 86-67 in Monday’s non-conference girls’ basketball game.

Kelsey Vaverka added 13 points and Tory Novotny added nine as GMG (7-7) held off the host Rebels. Gladbrook-Reinbeck trailed 44-27 at the half before climbing back to within seven points during the third quarter.

Taylor Gienger scored 22 points to lead the Rebels (4-9), who lost their sixth-straight. Megan Swanson added 18 points and Rachel Cooley chipped in a season-high eight points for G-R.
