UnityPoint Clinic physician Eric Neverman DO is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP). In order to qualify for this prestigious designation, a physician must have received initial certification in pediatrics from the American Board of Pediatrics or the American Osteopathic Board of Pediatrics and meet criteria specific to the AAP specialty section.

Fellows of the American Academy of Pediatrics are recognized by their colleagues and the Board of Directors as demonstrating excellence in training leading to Board Certification as well as demonstrating high ethical and professional principles and conduct.

Organized by 35 pediatricians in Detroit in 1930, the AAP now has more than 60,000 members; 47,000 of whom have earned the designation of Fellow (FAAP). The mission of the American Academy of Pediatrics is to attain optimal physical, mental, and social health and well-being for all infants, children, adolescents, and young adults. To accomplish this mission, the AAP supports the professional needs of its health provider membership throughout the country.

Dr. Neverman is a graduate of the University of Iowa, Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine, and completed residencies in Pediatrics and Internal Medicine with the University of Missouri Hospitals and Clinics. He joined UnityPoint Clinic Grundy Center Family Medicine one year ago, where he specializes in pediatrics and internal (adult) medicine.
