Energy for every age is May 4 women’s wellness topic

GRUNDY CENTER – Area women are invited to ‘Mothers, Daughters, Sisters, Friends’, an entertaining evening focused on women’s wellness. The Grundy County Memorial Hospital Foundation is

sponsoring the event on Thursday, May 4, at the PT Event center, rural Reinbeck. Author, wellness coach, and professional speaker Debra Atkinson will present the program on “You’ve Got it Girl Energy for Every Age,” helping audience members learn how they can get more out of life no matter their age or the demands on their time.

Atkinson is a Reinbeck and Iowa State University graduate who now lives in Boulder, Colorado, where she focuses on delivering a message of greater productivity, increased energy, and improved life satisfaction. “We are excited to be hosting a Grundy County native who is an inspiring speaker on wellness,” remarks Erin Schildroth, Foundation events planner. “Debra has been speaking on life-enhancing topics for more than thirty years, and it’s great to welcome her back to Grundy County for the Foundation’s event. She is known for her storytelling and humor, and we invite area women to enjoy a pre-Mother’s Day outing with the women in their life to hear Deb’s engaging message.”

The event is a fundraiser for the Foundation’s annual Health Care Career Scholarship program, and will also feature dinner and wellness exhibits targeted at women. Doors open at 4:45 p.m., followed by dinner at 6:00 p.m. Reservations may be made by phoning Schildroth at 319-824-4147 by Friday, April 28, or emailing GCMH_Foundation@unitypoint.org.
