On December 9, the seventh grade boys hosted the Trojans of West Marshall in a game held in Gladbrook.

The game started with both teams getting off to sluggish starts as the ball could not find the bottom of the net. The Trojans started to hit their shots while the Rebels remained cold while scoring only seven points compared to the 19 points for the Trojans at halftime.

After locker-room discussion, the young Rebels were ready to cut into the deficit and get back in to the game. The Trojans were also determined to keep the lead and managed to do that throughout the second half. In the end the Rebels could not catch up and fell for 34-20 defeat.
