In seventh grade Rebels traveled to Gilman, Iowa on December 12, to take on the Mustangs of East Marshall.

First period action saw the Rebels come out and get a couple of buckets due to some pressure defense. The quicker Rebels continued with the game plan and held a 9-3 edge at the end of the first quarter. Both teams started to find the basket in the second period as the score stood at 22-14 Rebel lead at half-time.

Third quarter play saw the visiting Rebels wear down the opponents defensively and taking a 20-point lead at the end of the third period 38-18.

Working on the game plan was the goal for the final stanza, with nine players dressed for game, substitutes and playing time was the aim of the coaches. All who played in the 45-20 win for the Rebels made improvements as players and contributed in the outcome.
