Before Judge Stephen R. Jackson Jr. in Tama County District Court in Toledo:


Stacy Leigh Rook, 43, Cedar Rapids, pleaded guilty to a charge of possession of pseudoephedrine as a precursor with intent to manufacture, distribute or make with an intent to use as a precursor. Sentencing was set for Jan. 15, 2015. Rook was one of six persons arrested on Sept. 12 at 2719 Highway E66 near Chelsea. She was originally cited for conspiracy to manufacture methamphetamine, possession of ethyl ether, possession of lithium and possession of pseudoephedrine. The charges were field by Tama County Deputy Sheriff Lucas Dvorak. Michael Guy Wabaunasee, 30, LeGrand, entered a written guilty plea to 1st offense drunken driving. He was fined $1,250, sentenced to 30 days in jail with credit for 30 days already served and directed to complete the IDOT Drinking Drivers Course. His driver’s license was revoked for 180 days. Wabaunasee was charged on Nov. 2, 2013, at 1073 290th Street by Tama County Deputy Sheriff Trevor Killian.


Tama County District Court Civil Case Summary- Nov. 2014


A suit has been filed in Tama County District Court in Toledo seeking compensation in the Aug. 2 death of Debra Lynn Sells, 56, Dysart. According to the suit filed by Timothy Sells, executor of her estate, she died in a collision when the pickup truck she was operating collided with one operated by Craig Stevens. Aerdale, Iowa, on Iowa Highway 8 east of Traer. It is alleged Stevens, the driver of a second pickup truck, was negligent. Also named as defendants are Nancy J. Stevens and American National Property and Casualty Company. The suit alleges the loss of consortium for her husband, Timothy Sells and her two children in seeking judgment. George Filbert Derrio Jr., Braleys, Ore., filed an application for post-conviction relief from a 2004 traffic offense and conviction in Tama County Magistrate Court. Derrio claims his identification was stolen and he provided this information to the original investigator. He wants the conviction on the traffic charge vacated.
