Homecoming

As most of you know last week was homecoming week. Every year to get the students pumped up for the homecoming game, happenings, and dance, we have dress up days. Each day is different and is chosen by the student council members of each grade. Each grade is competing with each other to win donuts, which the juniors won. Every day at the end of third period, we had a pep rally where the cheerleaders did the cheers and there was also a fun game. The first dress up day was twin day! There were a variety of different costumes that people came up with, such as Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum, secret agents, or even wearing the same outfit. The next day was country/camo day and lots of people dressed up that day.

After the first day the juniors led the point’s system with 7.6 points. Trailing close behind were the seniors with 7.2 points. The third day was Merica day. Everyone was supposed to dress up in red, white and blue clothing in support of America. After the second day the juniors were still ahead by quite a lot with 14.5 points over the 12 points that the seniors had. The fourth day of homecoming was probably some of the students’ favorite dress up day because it was fake an injury. The ironic thing is that some of the poor students were already injured, but on the bright side they could participate too. Kameron Shroyer is a really talented makeup artist. If you need someone for Halloween she’s your go-to-girl. Again the juniors are dominating against all of the classes and the faculty. The fifth and final day was spirit day. Almost everyone dresses up for this day because it pumps up the football team for that night’s game. If anyone missed the homecoming football game and didn’t find out the score, we destroyed the Bearcats 56-0. The homecoming dance was last Saturday and the students had a blast.
