Grundy County Master Gardeners offering scholarship to Grundy County students

The Grundy County Master Gardeners are once again offering a $500 scholarship to a graduating senior in high school at any of the schools in Grundy County. Applicant must be a resident of Grundy County who plans to enter as a full time student with a declared major in agronomy, horticulture, floriculture, landscape horticulture, nursery & garden management, greenhouse production, turf grass science & management in a two or four year program.

Applications are due to the Extension office no later than 4:30 p.m. on May 16, 2014.

Master Gardeners are members of the Grundy county community who take an active interest in growing flowers, vegetables, fruits, shrubs, trees and lawns. “What really sets them apart from other home gardeners is their commitment to learning and sharing what they learn with others,” said Grundy County Extension & Outreach Administrator Shari Sell-Bakker.
