Rebel boys highlights from the 2026 Wartburg High School Invitational

WAVERLY – On Tuesday March 24, the Gladbrook-Reinbeck track and field team competed at the Wartburg indoor track meet. We were pleased with how our team competed and we also had some strong performances at this meet. The team prepared for success and did the little things right to give us a chance to be at our best.

Personal records achieved

-Treyvon Herron: 55-meter dash, 6.71 seconds

-Nathan Smiley: 55-meter dash, 7.09 seconds

-Keegan Hurley: 200-meter dash, 25.15 seconds

-Macklin Clark: 400-meter dash, 56.60 seconds

-Caleb Pifkin: 1600-meter run, 5:13.34 minutes

-Joe Wolf: Shot put, 35-4 3/4 feet

-Tommy Farley: Shot put, 28-7 3/4 feet

Outstanding finishes

To go along with our personal records, we had some outstanding finishes during the meet, which consisted of about 35-40 schools of all sizes.

-Treyvon Herron: 55-meter dash, 6.71 seconds; 3rd place out of 59 athletes

-Macklin Clark: 400-meter dash, 56.60 seconds; 8th place out of 51 athletes

-Caleb Pifkin: 1600-meter run, 5:13.34 minutes; 11th place out of 41 athletes

-Hudson Clark: 200-meter dash, 24.39 seconds; 14th place out of 60 athletes

-Boys 4×200 relay team (Treyvon Herron, Nathan Smiley, Keegan Hurley, and Hudson Clark): 1:38.76 minutes; 11th place out of 30 teams

Overall, we had a lot to be proud of and looking forward to the outdoor season.
