GARWIN – GMG senior setter Hadlee Hempy repeated as an all-Iowa Star Conference South Division first-team pick this season.

Hempy led the South Division with 129 assists; in total, she amassed 383 assists, accounting for nearly 90% of the Wolverines’ setting game. She also had 58 kills, 109 digs, and 22 blocks. At the service line, Hempy led her team with 57 aces.

GMG had two second-team selections as well: Senior outside hitter Landry August and sophomore middle hitter Arianna Pierce. Pierce (1.8) and August (1.8) ranked ninth and 10th, respectively, in kills per set.

Senior outside hitter Rhianna Murty received honorable mention.

North Tama senior libero Addison Hochstetler was recognized as the South Division’s Player of the Year. Redhawks head coach Channing Halstead was voted the Coach of the Year after leading her team to the division title by one game in front of BCLUW.
