REINBECK — Ahead of her high school graduation which took place this past Sunday in Reinbeck, Gladbrook-Reinbeck Class of 2025 graduate Braelynn Morgan signed her letter of intent to continue her athletic career as a member of the Iowa Central Community College (ICCC) women’s volleyball team next school year.
“I chose ICCC because I loved the environment and how it felt like home,” Morgan told the newspaper. “I also chose Iowa Central because it is right in the middle of both sides of my family — Algona and Reinbeck. Coach [Sara] Horn is also great so she made a big impact in my decision as well!!”
Morgan started all 44 matches for the Rebels in her senior season as a middle/right-side hitter, racking up 122 kills and 66 errors on 343 total attacks for a .163 kill efficiency. She also recorded 59 blocks and 41 digs.
The Iowa Central Tritons featured a roster of 33 players this past school year including freshman outside hitter Shirley Monaghan who hails from Grundy Center. Iowa Central ended the 2024-25 season 30-9 with a ninth-place finish at the NJCAA National Tournament.
Morgan said she plans to major in elementary education.
