Rebels defeat D-NH for third-straight win

REINBECK — The Gladbrook-Reinbeck boys’ basketball team racked up its third-straight win by defeating Dike-New Hartford 55-48 on Friday, Jan. 5 in an NICL clash.

The Rebels (7-3) trailed by eight, 31-23, at the half before outscoring the Wolverines 32-17 in the second half. Dike-New Hartford (5-5) got just three points in the fourth quarter.

Gladbrook-Reinbeck had four double-digit scorers led by Austen Mathern, who finished with 15 points. Michael Boyd tallied 14 points and eight rebounds, while Isaac Clark scored 11 points. Drew Eilers piled up 10 points and eight boards as well.

Jayce Jensen led Dike-New Hartford with 17 points.
