Letter to the Editor: Vote for Heather Knebel for Tama County Supervisor on June 4

Tama County District 3 Residents,

I hope you are having a great spring and ready for summer! We are getting close to the primary election on June 4, 2024, and I am asking for your vote. I am a mom, businesswoman, Christian, farmer’s daughter, and trucker’s wife. I have 12 years of experience at John Deere and 10 years running our family trucking/brokerage business. If elected, I am ready to get to work to represent my constituents in an ethical and transparent way. I will listen, research, learn, and protect my residents and their property. I am a life-long resident of Tama County and I will do everything I can to move Tama County in the right direction now and for future generations.

District 3 includes three candidates, including myself, running as Republicans. The Primary election in June will reduce the candidates from 3 down to 1 on the Republican ticket. This candidate will be the Republican candidate on the November General Election ballot and will likely be the next Supervisor in District 3.

To vote for me in the primary election, it’s a requirement that you are registered as a Republican in Tama County and live in District #3 (Perry, Crystal, Spring Creek, and the northern part of Carlton and Howard Townships). This includes the cities of Traer and Gladbrook. If you are unsure if you are registered as a Republican or which district you live in, you can call the Tama County Auditor’s Office at 641-484-2740. You can also register as a Republican at the polls on election day.

You can vote in the Tama County Auditor’s Office (104 W State St. Toledo) anytime during normal business hours, Monday – Friday 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m., starting on May 15 until June 3. The Auditor’s Office will also be open on Saturday, June 1, for absentee voting.

The Primary Election Day is Tuesday, June 4. Polls are open from 7 a.m. until 8 p.m. To find out which location you vote at, go to “https://sos.iowa.gov/”>https://sos.iowa.gov/, and select “Find Your Precinct/Polling Place”.

If you have any questions or concerns or want to learn more about me, please reach out via my Facebook page “Heather Knebel for Tama County Supervisor.” This election is more important than ever with five Supervisor districts, all with open seats and three very good Republican Sheriffs on the primary ballot as well. As a registered Republican, you will be able to vote for a Supervisor and a Sheriff in the June primary. Participating in elections is the best way to make your voice heard and contribute to the democratic process. I would really appreciate your vote on June 4th. Thank you for the support and have a blessed day!

Heather Knebel
