Letter to the Editor-Chris Hackett
Letter to the Editor: Thank you. Thank you for exercising your right to vote in the election last week here in Gladbrook. It is so important not to neglect this privilege and honor those in our past who have made this possible. Congratulations to our re-elected City Council members and thank you for your willingness to serve our city. Congratulations to Keith Sash for his re-election to the seat of Mayor. The race was very close. No one can ever say that their vote does not count in this town. The voting spread was very close. I hope that the continuing administration looks closely at these numbers and realize that there is a significant population in Gladbrook who want progression and change and not just maintain status quo. I challenge the Mayor and the City Council to go out and talk to people to find out what is wanted or needed. Talk to folks you do not know, not just the ones you know best. There are such great ideas, stories and energy for change out there, you just need to tap into it. Be open to possibilities. Be flexible in your planning process. Be transparent and accountable in action. For all those who have expressed interest in change and offered your ideas, let’s continue the conversation. For all those who have not expressed your thoughts, let’s talk. Let’s all work together to keep this great city of Gladbrook alive and growing! Thank you, Chris Hackett
