Before Judge Sean McPartland in Tama County District Court in Toledo:


Stacy Leigh Rook, 44, Cedar Rapids, received a deferred judgment on a charge of possession of a pseudoephedrine as a precursor with intent to manufacture, sell distribute and or make available pseudoephedrine with intent to use as a precursor. She pleaded guilty in December 2014. Rook was placed on probation for two years to the 6th Judicial District Department of Correctional Services and was directed to pay $201 court costs. Rook was one of six persons arrested on Sept. 12, 2014, at 2719 Highway E66 near Chelsea. She was originally cited for conspiracy to manufacture methamphetamine, possession of ethyl ether, possession of lithium and possession of pseudoephedrine. The charges were filed by Tama County Deputy Sheriff Lucas Dvorak. Jeremy Robert Arnoux, 26, Tama, was found guilty of probation violation and guilty of contempt. Arnoux was directed to reside a community correctional facility for up to 365 days or until maximum benefits are achieved. His probation was extended one year to Oct, 2020. Arnoux originally was sentenced after pleading guilty on Oct. 21., 2014, to assault causing bodily injury or mental illness and assault while displaying a dangerous weapon. He was charged by Tama Police. Jared Bryan Buchmeier, 19, Kellogg, Iowa, pleaded guilty to 1st offense drunken driving. He received a deferred judgment, was placed on unsupervised probation and assessed a civil penalty and other fees totaling $3,350. Buchmeier was charged on Sept. 27, 2014 in the 3100 block of A Avenue, Montour, by the Tama County Sheriff’s Office. Jon Roger McCarty, 49, Bussesy, Iowa, was sentenced for 2nd offense drunken driving two years in prison with all but seven days suspended and assessed fine and court costs totaling $12,641. He was given credit for having already served five days in jail and undergone two days in treatment. The jail sentence was to be served concurrently with a Marion County District Court sentence on a 1st degree harassment charge. McCarty was originally charged with 3rd offense drunken driving and impersonating a public official by Toledo Police. The charges was filed on Sept. 18, 2014, at the Business Highway 30 and U.S. Highway 63 junction in Toledo. Shane Marcus Kruse, 23, Gladbrook pleaded guilty to 1st offense drunken driving. He received a deferred judgment and was placed on probation to Feb. 12, 2016. Kruse was assessed a civil penalty and court costs totaling $1,350. The Court reserved the right to waive $625 of the civil penalty if the defendant provides proof of having obtained a temporary restricted license. Kruse was charged on Oct. 4, 2104, in the 400 block of 2nd street, Gladbrook, by the Tama County Sheriff’s Office.
