GLADBROOK – Again, this year, the Gladbrook Commercial Club is sponsoring a full Halloween night for the town on Saturday, Oct. 31. All activities run from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Revelers will have time to do traditional door-to-door trick-or-treating plus enjoy activities on Main Street.

Activities downtown include Trunk-or-Treating, businesses open for little beggars, along with games/activities at the library. A fire truck and ambulance will be parked for everyone to check out, too. Main Street will be blocked off to traffic for the activities.

A drive-thru supper at the Methodist Church, hosted by the United Methodist Women, is available from 4:45 p.m. to 5:45 p.m. (enter thru east entrance and exit to west). The “sack supper” includes a hot dog, chips, and cookie. Just down the street, stop at Independent Living and Westbrook Acres Nursing Home to trick-or-treat from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. The residents love to see the kids and pass out candy!

For those who would like to be on Main Street for Trunk-or-Treating, just drive your vehicle down to Main Street, park as usual, pop the trunk, and decorate your vehicle (optional). Be ready before 6 p.m. for the spooks and goblins to visit.
