GARWIN – School started at GMG at 8:30 a.m. on Aug. 25, but not for 25 mostly retired staff members. Instead the group met at the Garwin Community Center for brunch and a much anticipated reunion. Former administrators, teachers, support staff and even the current superintendent (Chris Peterson) gathered for an abundance of food and fellowship. Each person there shared how many years they worked for GMG, and the total number of years came to 650 years in all. It was decided that this should become an annual event at the start of every school year. The group all treasured their GMG years, and they wish the current staff and students the best for 2025-26.Those present included (years worked) Back row left to right: Chris Peterson (1), Mark Polich (19), Mike Pierson (27), Mary Boege (16), Marcia Stamp (27); Third Row: Connie Jackson (10), Helen August (40), Tammy McLean (33), Janet Ahrens (19), Ann Barloon (13), Deb Henningsen (38), Gary Sinclair (15); Middle Row: Phyllis Rodgers (42), Andrea Samek (34), Mary Gayle Stowe (8), Cindy Cutler Upah (27), Julie Upah (34), Jan Strohbehn (36), Sue Koster (24) and Front Row: Susie Strohbehn (30), Patty Dillingham (15), Jill Roberts (25), Karen Jackson (28), Karen Ware (42).
