Murty chosen to attend World Food Prize Global Youth Institute

DES MOINES – Green Mountain-Garwin FFA member and high school junior Rhianna Murty was selected to attend the prestigious World Food Prize Global Youth Institute this past week in Des Moines. According to the school district, she was chosen for the experience after submitting a research paper detailing a solution for a global food insecurity issue in Ethiopia. Congratulations to Rhianna!

About the World Food Prize Global Youth Institute

This year is the 30th anniversary of the World Food Prize Foundation Global Youth Institute. Annually, over 175 students from around the world are invited to the prestigious Global Youth Institute. For the past three decades, students have had the opportunity to hone their leadership skills while deepening their knowledge about food security from revered experts.
