MCC’s Oct. 2 job fair to feature session geared toward high school students
MARSHALLTOWN – Marshalltown Community College is proud to partner with Iowa Valley Business and Community Solutions, the Marshalltown Chamber of Commerce, and IowaWORKS to host an Interactive Job Fair on Wednesday, Oct. 2, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., in MCC’s Student Activity Center.
The event will offer a unique opportunity for high school students to explore career options during a dedicated session from 9-11 a.m. Local employers will showcase various industries and provide interactive activities to give students a firsthand look at potential career paths.
From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., the job fair opens to the public. Job seekers can connect with over 60 area employers actively seeking qualified candidates. In a tradeshow-style atmosphere, employers will be sharing information about their businesses and showcasing open positions. This interactive format provides job seekers with the chance to learn about potential careers, network with hiring managers, and potentially land interviews on the spot.
Pre-registration is not required for job seekers to attend. Food trucks will be on-site offering a variety of food items for purchase. Employers interested in participating in the Interactive Job Fair can contact Maria Morales via email at maria.morales@iwd.iowa.gov.
