Monthly wellness program offered at Garwin Public Library

GARWIN – Words on Wellness (WOW) LIVE! Is a monthly program that promotes a healthy lifestyle. The group meets on the second Tuesday of each month at noon at the Garwin Public Library to discuss relevant topics and sample a healthy recipe.

The discussion is led by Cheryl Bruene from Iowa State University Extension and Outreach in Tama County. Topics vary from month to month and each discussion stands alone. The informal format makes it possible for those who can’t attend year-round to join the group when it works for their schedule.

Get reliable, research-based information about nutrition, exercise, and food safety.

Check out WOW LIVE! to explore the power of incorporating healthy practices into daily living for you and your family.

The next session will be at noon on Tuesday, Sept. 10. Discussion will include your microbiome, food banks vs food pantries, and pickleball. The group will also taste-test pizza boats, the recipe of the month.
