‘Stay Independent’ nutrition and wellbeing program coming to Reinbeck Public Library

REINBECK – Stay Independent is a nutrition and wellbeing program offered through Iowa State University Extension and Outreach for adults who are 60 and older. The program will be offered in Reinbeck and Grundy Center this spring and summer.

“Our program provides topics related to the nutrition risks and key behaviors of older Iowans through research-based nutrition and wellness information. Other topics help Iowans assess environmental factors to age in place, identify financial exploitation and fraud, and raise awareness about planning for future care and end-of-life decisions,” said Barb Wollan, human sciences specialist.

The Reinbeck Public Library will sponsor the series on March 26, April 23, and May 28, 2024, from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the library, located at 501 Clark Street, Reinbeck. The topics include: Spot, Stop and Avoid Fraud, Thriving in Place, and Final Arrangements. Contact the library at 319-788- 2652 to pre-register for planning purposes.
