Another successful year for Reinbeck’s Miracle on Main

REINBECK – It was a gorgeous string of days last weekend for Reinbeck’s annual ‘Miracle on Main’ downtown celebration. There was something for everyone from the young to the young-at-heart including holiday food from roasted chestnuts to The Milk House ice cream, plenty of great shopping options, whimsically decorated business windows all over town to check out, contests including the annual home lighting display, and more.

After months of planning for the two-day event, Sarah Osborn, a member of the Miracle on Main committee, wrote on the event’s Facebook page: “Wow, Reinbeck and surrounding town peeps – you blew us away! What a turnout we had for this year’s Miracle on Main. Thank you for supporting our town and this event! BIG shout out to all of you.”

Osborn went on to thank several individuals, groups, and organizations for their work this year including the Gladbrook-Reinbeck FFA for providing petting zoo animals; Santa Claus, Mrs. Claus, and the Grinch; those who served food or drinks “for rocking it and keeping bellies full”; all the businesses with open houses; the Reinbeck Public Library for providing entertaining activities geared toward kids; those who donated money, goods, time, raffle ticket entries, or even a smile; the Reinbeck Lions Club for “always supporting the community and making bingo fun for all”; and the lighting contest participants.

“I know this post hasn’t scratched the surface of all those we would like to thank,” Olson continued. “More gratitude posts to be made throughout the day, we hope we can cover it all, but please know we value each and every contribution and attendee. Now go out and do something nice for someone today.”
