Bringing the ‘Bounty of Iowa’ to local families this Thanksgiving

The Gladbrook-Reinbeck FFA and the Gladbrook Reinbeck High School Food Pantry are excited to partner with the Grundy County Pork Producers to bring “The Bounty of Iowa” to local families for the Thanksgiving holiday.

Together, the organizations will purchase and package Thanksgiving Baskets to be distributed to families in need. Each basket will include meat, potatoes, and all the fixings for a home cooked holiday meal.

Families are able to contact the school by email at rebel.resources@gr-rebels.net to request a Thanksgiving meal or to let us know of a family within the district who may be in need of a meal.

The “Bounty of Iowa” meals will be distributed on a first come, first serve basis and we anticipate distributing 20-30 meals on November 20 and 21. Delivery specifics will follow as we get closer to Thanksgiving.

We would like to extend a huge thank you to the Grundy County Pork Producers. This project speaks to our FFA Chapter’s desire to make our communities great while highlighting the benefits of agriculture in Iowa.

The Gladbrook-Reinbeck High School Food Pantry continues to provide much needed supplies to care for our families and those in our district who may need a helping hand. And we can always use a helping hand! If anyone would like to make donations to our project please contact gena.petersen@gr-rebels.net .

Please contact us at rebel.resources@gr-rebels.net to request a meal or if you have any questions; please include the number of people in your family and any dietary restrictions or allergies.
