Myers named as next G-R Jr. High/High School principal

Set to replace Principal Andy McQuillen

Myers

The Gladbrook-Reinbeck Community School District has named Anjuli Myers as the next principal of its Junior High and High School, which serves grades 7-12. Her hire will be official pending the formal background check and school board approval.

Myers will be replacing Andy McQuillen who resigned recently (subject to release of contract) to take a job as the middle school principal with the Tipton Community School District.

Myers comes from the Waterloo Community School District where she served as an instructional coach coordinator. As part of this district administrative role, she oversaw 42 instructional coaches across Waterloo schools and evaluated the mentor and math instructional coaches for the district. She also supported building administrators in their evaluation of each school’s instructional coaches.

Additionally, Myers brought the adoption of student-centered coaching to Waterloo and has overseen its implementation for the last two years. She previously served as a STEM coordinator and district mentor coach.

Myers earned a masters in educational leadership from Drake University and is pursuing a doctor of education degree with a superintendent’s license.

Myers will officially begin serving as principal of Gladbrook-Reinbeck Junior High and High School as soon as her contract is approved by the school board.
