December 17, 2018 thru December 23, 2018 1. One vehicle accident December 14, 2018, 9:30 PM at 130th and D Avenue. Driver: DANIEL BURKE, age 24, Ames. Driving 2017 Volkswagon. Estimated damage $9000. Vehicle was westbound on 130th and was going too fast as he approached the northbound curve of D Ave. Vehicle could not negotiate the curve, launched off the shoulder westbound into the field. Vehicle went airborne over the ditch, a utility box and a fence and hit the ground approximately 30 feet into the field. It then traveled another 1/8 of a mile, attempting to get out. BURKE was issued citations for FAILURE TO MAINTAIN CONTROL and OPERATING A NON-REGISTERED VEHICLE. No injuries. Investigated by GRUNDY COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE. 2. RONALD FINDLAY, age 48, Conrad. Arrested December 19, 2018, 6:50 PM in Conrad. Charged with PUBLIC INTOXICATION. Released on a promise to appear. Arrested by GRUNDY COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE. 3. JOSEPH HINDMAN, age 45, Grundy Center. Arrested December 20, 2018, 8:50 PM at the Sheriff’s Office. Charged with 2 cts of INDECENT CONTACT WITH A CHILD and 1 ct of CHILD ENDANGERMENT. Released to Pre-trial Services. Arrested by GRUNDY CENTER PD.

December 24, 2018 thru January 1, 2019 1. One vehicle accident December 26, 2018, 8:40 AM on T-55 south of 110th Street. Driver: ALISSA CLAASSEN, age 19, Elk Run Heights. Driving 1999 Chevrolet. Estimated damage $2000. Vehicle was southbound when the driver lost control due to the road being slippery with heavy frost. Vehicle entered the east ditch where it rolled once before coming to rest in a field. Occupants were transported to the hospital. No summons. Investigated by GRUNDY COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE. 2. One vehicle accident January 1, 2019, 4:45 PM on Hwy 20 at the 220 mile marker. Driver: TETA TOE, age 20, Waterloo. Driving 2013 KIA. Estimated damage $7000. Vehicle was westbound when the driver lost control and ended up in the north ditch. No summons, minor injuries. Investigated by GRUNDY COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE.
