GMG rallied Cedar Valley Christian last Thursday night, September 4, 2014 for the win at GMG High School. The Huskies won the first set against GMG with the score of 25-18. The Wolverines came back and won the next three sets with scores of 25-14, 25-19, and 25-20. GMG’s record is 1-1 so far. Josie Claassen had the leading amount of kills and blocks with nine kills and two blocks. Hannah Hinson and Chandler Kendall had two kills a piece. Setter Katie Airey had six assists along with six aces. Serving was the game winner for the Wolverines. Kendall served 17-for-19 with a total of eight aces. Hannah Hinson was 13-for-14 with two aces. Blaire Sonderleiter added five aces with 9-for-11 serves. Sonderleiter also led the team in digs with 16 digs that game. Kenna Krier, the libero and only senior, had nine digs.
