Nina Foote, 98, Grundy Center, died July 4.

Jay Dieken, 39, Dike, died June 30 at the VA Hospital in Des Moines.

Burge & Theone Larsen returned home from Allen Hospital where Burge had hip surgery and Theone had both knees replaced.

JULY 15, 1976

A search party of 200 walked fields, fields, roads and ditches in search of George Boelman, 71, who walked away from Parkview. He was found south along the railroad tracks.

Melanie Greiner won a saddle at Ponies of America International show in Estes Park, Colo.

Chris Petersen & Brian Moser received painful injuries after being thrown from a horse at the James Kray farm.

Mr. & Mrs. Dean Thede are parents of a son born July 11.

Margena Butterfield & Kent Goldsberry were married July 10.

Sherman Cooper, 82, died July 12 at Parkview Manor.
