Meyers graduates from US Military Academy

WEST POINT, N.Y.

Cadet Andrew Meyers, son of Joel and Laura Meyers of Cedar Falls, Iowa, graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point on Saturday, May 21.

Andrew graduated from Gladbrook-Reinbeck High School in 2012. While at West Point, he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Environmental Engineering. He was commissioned as a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army and will serve as a Combat Engineer with the 101st Airborne Division out of Fort Campbell, Kentucky as his first assignment.

The mission of the U.S. Military Academy is to educate, train, and inspire the Corps of Cadets so that each graduate is a commissioned leader of character committed to the values of duty, honor, country and prepared for a career of professional excellence and service to the Nation as an officer in the United States Army.
