Four Grundy County scholarships available to graduating seniors and one for current college students are available by visiting the Grundy County Extension Office at 703 F Avenue, Suite 1, Grundy Center or by visiting www.extension.iastate.edu/grundy/news/several-2016-scholarship-applications-available-and-due-april-15th

The Harlen Persinger Scholarship is a brand new scholarship being awarded to a current Grundy County 4-H or FFA member interested in photography, journalism or livestock and agriculture! Harlen has generously donated $500 to start the scholarship fund.

The Drew Scott Memorial Scholarship was established in 2009 in memory of Grundy County 4-H Alumni Drew Scott. This scholarship is meant to help someone who has the same passion for agriculture and ability to mentor other young 4-H’ers as Drew did. This year’s scholarship will be for $1,000.

The Master Gardener scholarship is for graduating seniors in Grundy County interested in a major in horticulture, floriculture, landscape horticulture, nursery and garden management, green house production, turf grass science & management, agriculture undecided or agronomy in a two or four year program. This year’s scholarship will be for $500.

The Grundy County 4-H Scholarship is awarded to graduating 4-H members who are also Grundy County 4-H members. This scholarship awards members based on their 4-H experiences and contributions and the impact they feel 4-H has made on their future. These scholarships will be $100 in 2016.
