Lindsey Fisher and Jared Smith, both of Muscatine are announcing their engagement and approaching wedding. Lindsey is a 2009 graduate of Garwin-Green Mountain High School in Garwin and a 2014 graduate of the Iowa School of Beauty. She is currently pursuing an Associate of Applied Science degree in Dental Assisting at Eastern Iowa Community College with an expected graduation date of May 2018. She is the daughter of Noel Strohbehn of Knoxville and David & Gina Fisher of Marshalltown. Jared Smith is a graduate of Waterloo West High School (2000). He earned a BA in Education from the University of Northern Iowa (2004), an MA in Educational Leadership from National-Lewis University (2006), a Certificate of Advanced Studies/Superintendent’s License (2013), and he is currently pursuing a PhD in Educational Leadership, with an expected graduation date of December 2016. He is the son of Vicki Simpson of Cedar Falls and Rodger and Melanie Klemz-Smith of Waterloo. Jared is a former assistant principal at East High School, Waterloo and is currently the head principal at Muscatine High School. Lindsey was formerly employed at Posh Salon and at the Buckle in Cedar Falls. Previously Ms. Fisher was a cosmetologist at JCPenney’s in Marshalltown. Their wedding ceremony will take place on September 17, 2016 at 3:30 pm at Prairie Lakes Church in Waterloo with a reception to follow at Park Place Event Centre in Cedar Falls.”
