Wedding Acton-Gregory

Tara Danielle Acton and William Gregory, both of Cedar Rapids, were married on Saturday, December 5, at Bella Sala Event Center in Iowa City. Scherie Gates of West Branch officiated. Parents of the couple are Patrick and April Acton, Gladbrook, and John and Barbara Gregory, Cedar Rapids. Erica Harms, Clear Lake, served as her sister’s matron of honor, and Katie Kalb, Portland, OR, was bridesmaid. Brennan Acton, Cedar Falls, brother of the bride, was best man, and Cory Harms, Clear Lake, brother-in-law of the bride, was groomsman. Lucas Gregory, son of the groom, acted as ring bearer, with Lily Camizzi, cousin of the bride, as flower girl. Ryan Luehring, Cedar Falls, and Thomas Reese, Des Moines, were ushers. Music was provided by Joe Mosher as soloist and Christian Drollinger on piano. The bride wore a white satin A-line gown with a chiffon split-front overlay, sparkling embroidery, and flowing sleeves. She carried a bouquet of red roses with sprigs of evergreen and red berries, and accessorized with a full-length red satin cloak with white fur, and a pearl and crystal tiara. The bridesmaids carried bouquets of white roses with evergreen and red berries and wore long strapless gowns of red satin with glittering brooch detail and white fur stoles. The flower girl wore a red satin gown with a sparkling beaded bodice and carried silver bells on red satin. She also wore a red satin cloak, matching the bride’s. The men in the wedding party wore black tuxes with white shirts and and red ties with red rose boutonnieres. A reception dinner and dance followed the ceremony at Bella Sala. The newlyweds honeymooned in Florida and are at home in Cedar Rapids. The bride is an English content specialist at ACT in Iowa City, and the groom is an IT systems administrator at ADM in Cedar Rapids.
