Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Thomsen are pleased to announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Susan Joy Thomsen, to John Kenneth Heldenbrand, son of Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Heldenbrand of rural Marshalltown and Mr. and Mrs. Wes Snook of Ankeny. The bride-to-be is a graduate of Wartburg College and GMG Community Schools. She is employed by PharMerica as a pharmacy technician. The future groom is an Iraq war veteran. He is currently a senior at Iowa State University, studying MIS. A March 10th wedding is planned at Peace United Church of Christ in Gladbrook.
