Ashley Nicole Zink and Hayden Donald Boeke were united in marriage on September 19, 2009, at Zion United Church of Christ in Hubbard with Reverend Nancy L. Anderson officiating. Pianist was Michael Diischer and soloists were Selena Diischer and Taylor Fjelland. Parents of the couple are Dale and Becky Zink of Conrad and Monty and Karen Boeke of Hubbard. Ashley wore a strapless satin pick-up ball gown with a cuff neckline and lace-up back with a sweep train. She also wore a blue garter that her grandmother wore 53 years ago. Matron of Honor was Brittney Gould and Maid of Honor was Perin Zink, both sisters of the bride. Bridesmaids were Hillary Boeke, sister of the groom; Sara Hunter and Megan Burg, friends of the couple. All wore black satin pick-up ball gowns. Flower girl was Bella Keaveny, niece of the groom. Her satin pick-up skirt grown was accented with a black sash and bow. Ashley’s Personal Attendant was Kerry Hansen, friend of the bride. Guest Book Attendant was Heather Coenen, friend of the couple. Best Man was Heath Boeke, brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Jared Gould, brother-in-law of the bride, Levi Anderson, Chet Mennenga, and Zach Steffensen, all friends of the couple. Ring Bearer was Wyatt Gould, nephew of the bride. The Bride and Groom rode away on the Hubbard fire truck, while the bridal party followed in a limo. A reception and dance followed the ceremony at the Knights of Columbus hall in Marshalltown. Hosts/Hostesses were Steve and Kathy Miell, uncle and aunt of the bride; Tim and Rita Dreier, uncle and aunt of the groom. The couple resides in rural Hubbard. A delayed honeymoon will be taken in February by the couple to Florida and a cruise to the Bahamas. Ashley is the great-granddaughter of the late Pete and Zelda Storjohann of Gladbrook.
