Elizabeth Jane Gauthier and Dr. Andrew G. Karatjas of Meriden, Connecticut plan to marry October 24, 2009, in Michigan. The bride-elect is the daughter of Gary and Catharine Gauthier of Dearborn, Michigan. The prospective bride-groom is the son of Nicholas and Susan Karatjas of Indiana, Penn. Gauthier is a graduate of Eastern Michigan University and is a teacher in the Farmington Connecticut Public Schools. Karatjas is a graduate of Haverford College and Pennsylvania State University. He is an assistant professor at Southern Connecticut State University. Elizabeth is the granddaughter of Patsy and the late Art Rinz.
