Well we all survived our New Year’s Eve party which is always a fun time. Connie & I served dinner on New Years Day.

On the 3rd it was breakfast in our pj’s. Kelly, Kinsey, Connie and I served muffins, braided bread, breakfast casserole, orange juice and coffee. Talk about a fun time, that was it.

The 6th it was planned to take a trip to the library, but that was that really cold day, so we decided there would be better days ahead.

We had four birthdays this month, Rose Moser on the 11th, she treated us with delicious cinnamon rolls, juice and coffee. Kinsey Dinsdale on the 15th, so we enjoyed Scratch cupcakes and ice cream and coffee, Ron Mastain on the 23rd and he treated us with cinnamon rolls and pecan rolls, juice and coffee and Roger Ullery on the 29th and he treated us with Leah Kakes cupcakes and ice cream. I hope that each and everyone of you have many more happy birthdays.

A trip to the casino was planned to go on the 14th. Those that went had a good time. We will do this again sometime when it is warmer.

Janet Schildroth came on the 20th for bible study. She always comes up with some really interesting and fun lessons.

This was a bad month to plan anything because of the weather. On the 22nd we were going to Slice at Dike, but because of the cold and blowing snow we stayed home.

Donna Peters, Sandra Petersen and Mary Nielsen came in and made fritters for us, they were delicious. We also had fresh fruit, cheese, sausage and crackers to go with them. We always look forward to this.

Sugar and Spice was to come on the 27th and again the weather was interrupting our plans. Sugar and Spice couldn’t get here and since we had supper already made we enjoyed supper together anyway. We had hot ham and cheese sandwiches, chips, apple salad, cupcakes and coffee.

Pastor Terry came for worship services on the 29th.

Otherwise it was our usual things like exercise, cards, bingo anything to keep us from getting cabin fever.

We have started to have bingo on Saturday night at 5 p.m. in our dining room just bring .50 cents and come join us. When we are done playing bingo we go together and order pizza. Another fun time at the Party Palace.
