Westview January news

Well we all survived our New Year’s Eve party which was a good time.

We have celebrated a couple of birthdays this month. Rosie Moser on the 11th and Ron Mastain on the 23rd. They each treated all of us to delicious rolls for our morning coffee.

Pastor Terry Plocher came on the 9th for worship service, always a good message and good music.

On the 10th it was our tenderloin lunch from Truncks and then in the afternoon Jeanne, Neal and Ken came to entertain us. This was fun. They play a lot of the oldie goldies so we can sing along with them.

Sugar & Spice came on the 14th they got here about 4 p.m. so when they were done Kelly and I made supper for everyone since they are in the dining room anyway, might as well make it a party.

Book Club met on the 3rd Wednesday of the month. If you like to read this is very interesting. Everyone reads the same book and then get together and discuss it.

Janet’s bible study brings out a good crowd and that is held in the activity room.

With the weather the way it was lots of cards, bingo and Sky-Bo were played this month. Isn’t it grand to sit at the table by the fireplace, keep nice and warm and enjoy a good card game.

We certainly needed to exercise after our meal from the Corner Cafe on the 30th.

Guess this is about all that has been happening this month at Westview. It has been too cold to go out for our night out so we put that on hold for awhile.

Some time ago a silver ring was found in Westview parking lot. I have mentioned this before in my article so thought it was time to mention it again.

We have been very fortunate here at Westview not very many of us have had the flu or colds. So here’s hoping that will continue.

If you are getting cabin fever, just stop in for a visit and coffee at Westview. Hope to see you.
