Westview news

We started November out right with a party. It was Lloyd Smith’s birthday and he treated us to pie and ice cream at 5 p.m. so Kelly and I decided to make egg salad sandwiches and chips so everyone had that for their supper. Good job on the pies.

At 9 a.m. on the 6th Jean Marquant celebrated her birthday with a breakfast casserole and home made cinnamon rolls that her daughter made for us. It was delicious; to bad you don’t have a birthday at least once a month Jean.

On the 12th Janet Schildroth was here for bible study as always it was very interesting.

For our night out it was all the way to Morrison at the Morris Inn for their rib special, everyone likes those with plenty of left overs to take home.

Also on the 6th the Waterloo mothers chorus came to entertain us. What a good group and we are always happy to have them come.

Some went up town for Miracle on Main on Friday, the 9th and several got to go to the last Senior Citizen dinner at the Memorial Building. It will start again in March.

Lots of Westview people got to spend Thanksgiving with family and friends and this is always special.

Sugar and Spice came to entertain us on the 26th. They always get here around 4 p.m. so we make a little something for supper since everyone is in the dining room so Kelly Dinsdale made chili, homemade bread and German chocolate cake and we also had sparkling grape juice, wine and pink squirrels.

You would think that we just do nothing but eat around here, but that is not true. We keep very busy and the nice part about it if you want to participate in everything you can and if you don’t want to you don’t have to. Some things we do every month is cards on Tuesday, exercise three days a week, bingo, some kind of entertainment at least two or three times a month, bible study, finger nails done each week, book club once a month and our night on the town once a month.

You need to stop in and see our Christmas decorations. Our place is really neat thanks to Kelly, Connie and Rick.

MERRY CHRISTMAS FROM ALL OF US AT WESTVIEW ESTATES.
