July Westview News

What a HOT and DRY month for everyone, but it was cool staying in at Westview.

It was pretty warm on our 4th of July float, but we had a roof over the top of us and there was a little breeze when we were moving. We had fun anyway and drank a lot of water.

Sandi lead the Sing-A-Long on the 5th since I was helping with the blood drive at the Memorial Bldg.

On the 6th it was exercises at 2 p.m., then at 2:30 Iowa Hospice came for our Caregivers Corner. Good attendance out for this and a good discussion.

Donna Peters came for our monthly blood pressure check.

Westview was well represented at the Senior Citizens supper at the Memorial Bldg. on the 11th.

Bingo was played on the 12th and 26th.

We enjoyed root beer floats on the 13th after exercises and again on the 20th.

At 10:45 on the 18th we had our worship services and we’re grateful to our ministers for taking the time to do this.

It was just too hot for our night out so that was cancelled.

Sugar & Spice came to entertain us on the 23rd they are always fun and afterwards everyone enjoyed egg salad sandwiches, chips and watermelon.

On the 27th Dennis Perry came to entertain us and he will be back to entertain us on the 16th, you should check this out at 2:30 p.m.

We need more card players on Tuesdays at 2:00.

We’ve got a busy schedule for August so looking forward to that.

Any high school senior that would like some service hours should check out Westview. It is a fun place.

I received some reflections from the seat of an old tractor and this was one of them. “Every path has a few puddles.”

Feel free to stop in and see us anytime we love to visit. Take care.
