What an awesome March for Iowa weather, we even put out the patio furniture.

The UCC Circle group came on the 1st and on the 2nd, Iowa Hospice came for a Caregiver Corner seminar at 2:30 p.m. and will be coming on the first Tuesday of each month at 2:30. This isn’t only for Westview people, anyone from the community can attend this.

Harry & Martha Cheeseman each had their birthdays on the 5th so on Sunday afternoon on the 4th at 3 p.m. we enjoyed ice cream and cake with family and friends. It was a fun time.

Cards are always at 2 p.m. on Tuesday; we need a few more pepper players.

Ann Wieben celebrated her 90th birthday on the 10th with a pizza party and cake and ice cream for all of the Westview people and family and friends.

On the 12th was Janet’s Bible study and for our Night on the Town we traveled to The Shack in Morrison on the 15th.

For St. Patrick’s Day everyone enjoyed shamrock shakes and almost everyone wore something green. We did this on the 16th because Ray & Marlys Boege celebrated their birthdays on Saturday morning at 9:00 a.m. on the 17th. Many more birthdays Ray & Marlys and the rolls were delicious.

Book Club was here on the 21st always a good attendance for this at 4 p.m. and 7 p.m.

Our favorite game of bingo was played three times this month so everyone was happy.

After exercises on the 23rd we had a game day so this was fun and something different to do.

On the fourth Monday of every month Sugar and Spice comes to entertain us at 4 p.m. with a soup supper to follow – this is always fun.

After exercises on the 30th we had a hymn sing-a-long. We are improving all the time.

The flowers are up and blooming so hope we don’t get a cold spell later on. Some good times coming up for April. Take care.

Also mark your calendar for May 2 at 10:00 a.m. Cedar Valley Hospice is having an inservice meeting at Westview and the speaker will be talking about Alzheimer’s so anyone from the community is more than welcome to attend this. Hope to see you there.
