George and Tudy Brubaker celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary early with a family trip to Charleston, South Carolina in October. They all attended the three day reunion aboard the USS Yorktown CV/CVA/CVA-10 which has been serving as a Navy museum. George was stationed aboard the Yorktown from January 1963 to October 1966 as a radioman.

Celebrating George and Tudy’s anniversary were daughters Emily Hoffman, Sarah and husband Chris Wagner, grandchildren Ashleigh, Amber, and friend Mitchell, Jenna and Dylan. They all enjoyed time at the beach at Isle of Palms, a horse and carriage ride, seeing Rainbow Row and the downtown market as well as a harbor boat tour.

George and Tudy were married in Honolulu, Hawaii on December 4, 1967. George retired from the Navy and John Deere. Tudy retired from the Black Hawk Abstract Company.
