Don and Carol Bown will be celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary on June 10th. Don and Carol were married in Hazelton, Iowa on June 10, 1956. Their home has been in Reinbeck since their marriage. Don worked for Pioneer Hibred and was a volunteer fire fighter. Carol was a teacher and then worked for the city as their clerk. Both have retired.

They have one son, LaVerne Bown and wife, Betsy of Sidney, Neb. Three granddaughters: Lacey Miller and husband, Stephen, Omaha, Neb. Amanda Bown, Sidney, Neb. and fiance Andrew Leider, Alliance, Neb. Erin Bown, Sidney, Neb. One great grandson Kaden Miller.
